Teen Serial Entrepreneur Launches Competitive PC Service and Manufacturing Company/Website
Just under the age of 16, Brian Hendricks of Potomac, MD launches his third business. StartUpPC, a computer building and servicing business, can now be found at StartUpPC.com.
(PRWEB) July 7, 2004 -- StartUpPC, founded by Brian Hendricks, an experienced and well-recognized teen entrepreneur, launched its acclaimed website on just last week. Although it started off as a weekend-job for Brian, fixing computers and building a few PC's for his friends, the company soon began to pick up speed. In its first few months of operation, StartUpPC had profits in the thousands. Nonetheless, in Q3 and Q4 of the company's debut year, profits are projected to grow by more than 300%.
One of StartUpPC's key focus points is its local competition. Before StartUpPC, residents of Montgomery County had to pay $160-$200 per on-site service call or be charged close to that via repair depots such as computer retail stores. Today, customers flock to StartUpPC's prices which are one-fourth the price of past competitors. Although being criticized for having teenage employees, fear is quickly erased after experiencing first-hand the knowledge of StartUpPC's technicians. Customers praise StartUpPC for staying a little longer in order to ensure that the same problem won't come back.
On the manufacturing side of the business, StartUpPC is leaps and bounds ahead of the typical start-up PC company. While the ten employee group is not as advanced as other online computer companies, they certainly win the boat on customer satisfaction. Even though a customer can customize and order a PC via StartUpPC's friendly website, the product is not put into production until a staff member spends at least twenty minutes talking to the customer in order to fine-tune the computer's components. Due to the restricted customer base of Montgomery County residents, all computers are able to be hand-delivered, installed, configured, and personalized down to the client's favorite wallpaper and audio settings.
In addition, Hendricks has created an innovative program entitled E-Builder. Designed to enhance the experience of buying a computer, the E-Builder asks a variety of questions ranging from the potential client's current computer to some of the activities they will be doing on their new computer. With over five thousand lines of code, twenty-five hundred products in the database, and hundreds of thousands of possible combinations, the program analyses the inputted data in order to create a computer fine-tuned to the user's personality.
Included in such configuration are possible acessories and other categories as well as the obvious core components. Each configuration the E-Builder creates is hand-checked by a StartUpPC employee to ensure complete satisfaction. In addition to the specifications the E-Builder suggested, two additional configurations are included that offer a lower or higher priced option.
StartUpPC also offers a unique line of PC's named the Rogue Series. Using a chassis' that are roughly 6"W x 8"L x 5"H, the company offers its customers something they can't purchase at most computer companies, especially the larger OEM businesses. "Over the next year, we expect our Rouge line to make up more than 50% of all PC sales," says Founder and CEO Brian Hendricks, "We always recommend them and love to see the customer's reaction when they physically see how amazing such a small machine can be".
