PUERTO VALLARTA CELEBRATES THE FRENCH REVOLUTION With The 5th Annual 'Vive La France Festival In Conjunction with La Petite France Restaurant

Puerto Vallartas Fideicomiso de Turismo celebrates the 5th Annual 'Vive La France Festival with La Petite France Restaurant. The month-long celebration, taking place now, offers cultural and gourmet samples during this celebration of the 215th anniversary of the French Revolution.

PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO (PRWEB) July 10, 2004 -- Puerto Vallartas Fideicomiso de Turismo celebrates the 5th Annual 'Vive La France Festival with La Petite France Restaurant. The month-long celebration, taking place now, offers cultural and gourmet samples during this celebration of the 215th anniversary of the French Revolution.

Visitors to Puerto Vallarta in July have an opportunity to enjoy several cultural and gastronomical events. The highlight of the festival is a live performance of The Last Time I Saw Paris, a musical comedy under the expert direction of Kathleen Keenan. After the show, on July 16, 2004 at 9:00 pm, guests will enjoy a gastronomical festival with a five course dinner at La Petite France. Reservations are required for this event, and available at $45 per person.

The festival continues on July 23, 204 at 7:30 pm with the presentation of Artwork by French painter, Gerard Economos. Visitors will enjoy his artwork partnered with a musical serenade. This event will take paces at the Juan Luis Cifuentes Auditorium of the Coastal University Center of the University of Guadalajara. Admission is complimentary at this event is co-sponsored by Santa Barbara Shores, the Univeristy of Guadalajara and the Puerto Vallarta City Council.

The grand finale of the festival is From the Traditional to the Contemporary" symposium, dinner and wine tasting. Symposiums on gastronomy, cooking, wine cultivation and wine tasting begin on July 31st at 7:00 pm at La Petite France. A five-course dinner and wine tasting follow at 9:00 pm, followed by a table chat. Reservations are required for this event, and available at $45 per person.

Visitors who love and appreciate cultural experiences and fine dining are encouraged to experience Puerto Vallartas numerous festivals and events first-hand. A variety of international events, including the annual Gourmet Festival and the Film Festival of the Americas in November are designed for the cosmopolitan visitor, are complemented by the flavor of traditional Vallarta by the sea.
