St. Louis Cardinals Manager Tony La Russa has signed copies of the charity book Americas Athletes that are for sale at St. Louis area Borders Books and Music stores.
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) July 11, 2004 -- St. Louis Cardinals Manager Tony La Russa has signed copies of the charity book Americas Athletes that are for sale at the following St. Louis area Borders Books and Music stores; Sunset Hills, Creve Coeur, Ballwin, Brentwood, Fairview Heights, and St. Peters.
Americas Athletes is a collection of photos and personal patriotic essays from over 50 of the nations biggest stars from a variety of sports. Roger Clemens, Evander Holyfield, Kristi Yamaguchi, Randy Johnson, Tim Duncan and Tony Stewart, are among the athletes displaying patriotic pride and generosity in the charity gift book Americas Athletes. The list also includes Luis Gonzalez and Curt Schilling, NBA Champion David Robinson, Super Bowl winners Kurt Warner, Steve Young & Simeon Rice, Stanley Cup Champions Brett Hull, Chris Chelios and Mike Modano, Racing Great Michael Andretti and Olympic Gold Medallists Dan Jansen & Marion Jones, as well as many others.
La Russa participated in the book, and has designated that his share of the proceeds collected be donated to the Tony La Russa Animal Rescue Foundation. The Animal Rescue Foundation was created in 1991 by Tony and Elaine La Russa to address the needs of companion animals. Their vision for ARF is an organization that can not only aid abandoned and homeless animals, but also promote the concept that peoples lives can be enhanced by strengthening the bonds between humans and animals.
