(PRWEB) July 12, 2004 -- The Kansas City Kansas branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will hold its 86th. Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Friday, August 27th. 2004 at the Jack Reardon Center, 5th. & Minnesota in KCK, starting at 6pm.

There will be awards and recognition given given to those who have exhibited an unusual committment to the purpose of the NAACP. Life and heritage members will also receive special recognition. An inspirational message will be delivered by our guest speaker, Rev. Brenda Hayes, pastor of First African Methodist Episcopal Church in KCK. Like last year there will be great door prizes. This year's theme is "The Race Is On!" The program promises to be informative and inspirational. A beautiful souvenir journal is planned. This is a great opportunity for businesses and organizations to promote themselves as well as their support for the local NAACP branch in Kansas City Kansas. Tickets are $40 per person and a table of ten is $400.
