Agoura, CA (PRWEB) July 12, 2004 -- An Amethyst is a delicate gem formed from sand, extreme heat and iron. She has endured all and has emerged from the Desert. Valerie Day is ready to perform again...as Amethyst. "Like Amos (Tori), Day's voice bursts from the seams of raw emotion," commented Michelle Knight, Staff writer, T.O. Acorn, after interviewing her and listening to her play in her home studio/bedroom. The photographer wanted to know why she has not submitted a demo commercially.
Amethyst was formerly of the USA Express Band in the Army Entertainment Division where she toured overseas to help raise the morale of the soldiers who were missing their families and loved ones. Ever since her release from Active Duty, the experience had left such an emotional impact on her that it ignited her passion of music to continue that tour through her own original works, as she expresses her art as a tool of healing. Recently, Amethyst has been inspired to help and heal many women who can relate to her newest song "You've Left Me No Choice."
This song is an emotionally breathtaking piece that has to do with the struggles of an abusive relationship and how women can conquer the self-destructive patterns that weaken the self-esteem as well as the soul. In faith of a brighter future, Amethyst has landed a new favorite amongst her fans the song called "Happy Where I'm At." These songs will be premiering at her next concert along with "Just Another Soldier," and many other great works of this amazing new artist. Hope to see you there!
Watch for her at the Virtual World Cafe 6353 Kanan Road, Agoura Hills, Ca on Friday, June 16, 2004 at 9:15 p.m. - 5.00 cover - other bands will be performing that night as well around 8 pm.
