A.J. Drew, author of A Wiccan Bible, meets Operation Save America with iced tea and soda pop.

Internationally known Witch and founder of Pagan Nation, will meet the protest of the nationally known Christian organization, Operation Save America (formerly Operation Rescue) with love and kindness.

Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) July 13, 2004 -- As the author of A Wiccan Bible, I am often called on to demonstrate that I practice what I preach. After receiving numerous letters, phone calls, and emails stating that my family, store, and self will be the target of a large protest in Columbus, Ohio organized by Operation Save America, I feel this is one of those times.

While I can not speak to the intent, motive, or methods of Operation Save America; I have observed that their sacred texts teach Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live". In response, I and several members of Pagan Nation hope to demonstrate the teachings of one of Wiccas sacred texts: Ye must live and let to live". Where the web site of Operation Rescue speaks of taking up the sword, we will speak of working together towards building a better world.

On Saturday, July 17th at 2 PM we will be setting up tables full of refreshment along the sidewalk of our pagan and Wiccan store, Salem West at 1209 North High Street. On those tables and in our windows will be signs reading:

We welcome Operation Save America. We respect and support their constitutional right to assembly and speech. We hope that Operation Save America will respect and support our constitutional rights as well. Protesters may not to enter the store, block its entrance, or harass its clients. While we hope it does not become necessary, violations of these common courtesies are also violations of law. Should they occur, they will be dealt with as such."

As Operation Save America does not announce the locations and times of its protests, we will continue this practice through out the dates of their visit by setting up the welcome tables each day between the hours of noon and 8 PM (our normal business hours), except on Monday (our normal day off).
