more troubles for Kirk Douglas

After death of son Eric, Kirk Douglas enbroiled in controversial jury trial regarding auto accident

(PRWEB) July 13, 2004 -- Academy award winning stroke victim Kirk Douglas who just buried his son Eric is embroiled in an upcoming controversial traffic accident lawsuit. The jury trial will be in the West LA courthouse. This is near the scene of the Farmers Market tragedy involving another elderly 85-year-old driver.(John Robert vs.Kirk Douglas #SC077501)

Kirk Douglas was driving his wifes 12 cylinder high- powered BMW when he ploughed into a parked car at 30MPH on the street where he lives. He missed killing the pedestrian owner of the parked car by inches as he stood along side the Cadillac Seville STS.

There are many who believe Kirk Douglas at 85 should not have been driving any car due to his many recent medical problems. In recent years Kirk Douglas has had (2) pacemakers, partial paralysis, daily medication, stroke(s), bad knees, compressed spine, attempted suicide and broken back. This is in addition to passing out in public. Many of the above conditions are considered by the DMW for license revocation when reported by Doctor/ or family.

The plaintiff John Robert was standing outside the Seville STS hanging a coat in the left rear door when Kirk Douglas hit the STS at 30mph. Robert was treated for an aggravated bad back In addition, he was operated on for a groin hernia suffered as the Kirk Douglas car struck inches away from where he stood. According to plaintiff John Robert," Kirk Douglas was belligerent, wildly longhaired and incoherent at the scene of the accident."

Again according to plaintiff John Robert, Kirk Douglas narrowly missed killing me, he should not have been driving. We need to change the law regarding dangerous elderly drivers."
