AOL licenses Full Mental Jacket virtual set for new broadband sports show.
Full Mental Jacket has licensed one of it's high quality virtual sets to Studio AOL Los Angeles for a new online show called Time Out" hosted by award winning sports journalist Roy Firestone.
(PRWEB) July 15, 2004 -- Full Mental Jacket, which specializes in realtime visual effects for broadcast and film, has licensed one of it's high quality virtual sets to Studio AOL Los Angeles for an online show called Time Out" hosted by award winning sports journalist Roy Firestone. The show is available exclusively to AOL for Broadband and dialup customers.
Full Mental Jacket Creative Director Ronen Lasry and Studio AOL Producer Christian Kennel chose a set from Full Mental Jacket virtual set library and modifications were made to the set in order to create the unique look and feel of this show.
Graphics, show logos, and video inserts were added live on set and in real-time. Camera Tracking and compositing was also done live using specialized virtual set software and hardware. Special attention was paid to the colors and saturation levels in order to compensate for the color shifts and banding that come from compressing and streaming video.
"After attending NAB this past Spring and seeing Full Mental Jacket's showcase reel, we were convinced that virtual sets can no longer be ignored" says Kennel. Shooting took place at Production Group Studios in Hollywood, CA.
