Lingerie e-commerce site launched to rival the best in cyberspace.

John and Amanda Wood launch a new online shopping site for a carefully selected range of plus size lingerie styles that are pretty and elegant with cup sizes from D to JJ.

Derby and Cyberspace (PRWEB) July 16, 2004 -- Based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, PrettyPlus is aiming to be the place to shop for ladies who want the luxury of shopping from the comfort of their own home and believe that size should not limit choice.

Having carried out some extensive online market research it soon became apparent that although there are many sites that carry a small side range of plus size lingerie there is a distinct lack of sites that specialise in providing a wide range of pretty, elegant and colourful lingerie for the woman of today.

Women are generally becoming larger and heavier. Statistics have now shown that the average woman has increased in size from 5 2" and 9st in 1941 to 5 4" and 10st today.

In a recent survey during which questions were asked on the current state of the Plus size market answers were given as:

48% thought that women today are generally larger than women were 30 years ago
39% thought there should be more choice in larger size clothes made available for younger women.
25% say it is quite difficult to find attractive clothing in larger sizes.

Following the official launch of the PrettyPlus website at www.prettyplus.co.uk a marketing campaign including advertising in Cosmopolitan magazine is expected substantially increase awareness of the range of exquisite lingerie available at PrettyPlus.
