Creative Entity Announces Theatrical Release For New Documentary About Happiness In America

A new documentary to be released in select theatres in early Fall, focuses on happiness in America.

ORLANDO, FL (PRWEB) July 20, 2004 -- A new documentary by Aaron Mighty, to be released in select theatres in early Fall, focuses on happiness in America. One Happy Movie is the result of a tour around the United States in search of answers to questions such as "Does happiness still exist?" and "What makes you happy?" The film documents the journey of four filmmakers who set out to discover happiness in America and the nearly 400 unbelievable people they meet.

In 2001, when Brooklyn, N.Y. native Aaron Mighty was about to graduate from the University of Florida without a job offer and with little hope for personal success, he thought of this simple concept. When he questioned his own happiness, he began to wonder what happiness meant to others, and if it even still existed.

The thought that he would be the producer of a film one day never crossed Mighty's mind. He expected that somebody else had already had the idea and whoever that was would make the film soon if it had not already been made. A few years later, such a movie had still not been made, so Mighty took the challenge upon himself to produce his first venture into the film world, with no previous knowledge of the industry.

When everybody told him he was crazy and that a film about happiness would never work, Mighty dismissed their opinions and put up his life savings for the film. The result is this 92-minute documentary.

With the current unprecedented success of other documentaries in theatres comes news of this limited theatrical release in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami scheduled for the beginning of the fall. With a limited budget and no major distribution, the filmmakers will face their greatest challenge yet - getting their independent film into nationwide theatres by September 10. Those involved in making One Happy Movie believe that will be the day that everybody finds happiness in America.

Today the film is building a rather large following due to its innovative concept and it is hoped that it will bring an intrigue back to the emotion of happiness - attempting to explain what it is, if it still exists, and how to get it.
