Low-Carb Consumers Vote for 2004 Favorites!
The highlight of the CarbAware Expo & Conference will be the CarbAware Consumer Choice Awards, presented to the best in 21 low-carb and controlled-carb categories for 2004!
Falls Church, VA (PRWEB) July 15, 2004 -- The Carbohydrate Awareness Council unveiled it's 2004 CarbAware Consumer Choice Award Nominees today, with voting open online through September 10, 2004.
"We reviewed thousands of products, publications, websites, retailers, online communities and companies to select nominees in 21 categories," said Regina Schumann, COO of the council. "While we decided not to include some obvious categories, due to the outstanding labeling issues surrounding 'net carbs' and some ingredients, we think we've included some important categories for consumers, like Best Cookbook, Best Gym, Best Bottled Water and Best New Product."
Included are hundreds of nominees from small to large players in the low-carb sector, including CarbSense, Unilever's CarbOptions, Hain-Celestial's CarbFit, Atkins Nutritionals, Gold's Gym and even AOL. "Based on what consumers communicate to us, we know they're interested in more than just the foods," said Gil Wilshire, MD, President of the council. "They're also keenly interested in information, health & fitness and support."
The awards will be presented at the President's Dinner on Friday, September 17, 2004 during the CarbAware Expo & Conference in Washington, DC. Nominees are strongly encouraged to promote their nomination & voting online as recognition of their place among the best of 2004!
