Singularity comes to Toronto
Filmmaker Geoff Ross announces the arrival of his new short film Singularity in the city of Toronto as part of the First Take International Student Film Festival.
(PRWEB) July 16, 2004 -- Geoff Ross is proud to announce that his new short film Singularity will be screening in Toronto on July 20th and 24th as a part of the First Take International Student Film Festival. This festival screening is the first of a Geoff Ross film in Canada.
"I am so honored to be a part of the First Take International Student Film Festival," said Geoff Ross. "I can't think of a better place to have my Canadian premiere."
Singularity is the story of a man trapped in his own reality and the woman who tries to save him. A tragic love story of trust and vulnerability that follows a man who must make a decision that will be the formation of the rest of his days.
Gavin Brent Ryley (played by Eric Engleman) is in an unfamiliar and threatening place struggling to find a way out. A woman calling herself Danielle (played by Brianna Hansen) appears and claims that the two of them know one another. Although initially resistant, Gavin learns to trust her. As soon as he lets his guard down Gavin's world becomes more confused: night becomes day, friend becomes foe and he finds himself in a battle for his own life.
Singularity will screen on July 20th and 24th at 12:30 pm as part of Shorts Programme 1: Psychological Impact at the Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queens Park, Toronto, Ontario, M5S 2C6.

Geoff Ross
Originally from Lake Bluff, Illinois and most recently from Rochester, Minnesota, Geoff Ross has spent his entire childhood living in the Midwest. Raised mostly on video games, television, and the occasional parental intervention he developed a very short attention span for things that did not instantly gratify. He found a particular penchant for the visual arts early on in life. Not a day goes by without a new movie, new photograph, or new artwork flowing through his brain. Currently Geoff Ross can be found in the halls of New York University (www.nyu.edu) completing his undergraduate degree in film production.
