Encrypt Data on CD or DVD with Any Recording System
ARLINGTON, VA (PRWEB) July 19, 2004 --- Discrete Technologies announced that the latest addition to their suite of disc productivity tools -- SecureDISC -- is now available. Used in conjunction with any CD/DVD recorder, SecureDISC encrypts data as it is being written to the media, thus protecting sensitive data in the event the disc is lost or stolen.
SecureDISC allows organizations to take advantage of the high capacity and standardization of CD-ROMs and DVD-R, while controlling access to sensitive, confidential, proprietary or classified data stored on disc. The core of the system is a powerful administrator program that utilizes AES encryption to encrypt images and issue user decryption keys.
Once an encrypted image is written to disc, only a user with the client decryption software and decryption key will be able to access the data.
