Coastals New FLSA Training Will Help You Comply With The Revised Overtime Regulations

More and more, workers know their rights under the law, and theyre not afraid to speak up about whats fair and whats unfair --- or illegal. Companies must stay abreast of the upcoming Fair Labor Standards Act, or risk facing lengthy court battles. To streamline manager and supervisor training, Coastal recently introduced a new training program called, "FLSA: Todays Overtime Regulations."

Virginia Beach, Virginia -- To comply with the most extensive changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act in over 50 years, Coastal Training Technologies Corp. has released a new training video, "FLSA: Todays Overtime Regulations." This timely program explains how to determine whos exempt from the overtime regulations and who is not, why its dangerous to lump workers together because of similar job titles, how to handle pay deductions for hours spent away from work, and how to distinguish between the many categories of exempt workers -- and the special circumstances for each one.

On August 23, 2004 companies will face new overtime requirements that could alter the exempt status of some of their employees. One government report estimates that more than a million previously salaried employees will be eligible for overtime under the 2004 FLSA regulations.
