Dr Van Everbroeck and http://www.Care2Learn.com have launched the NAB/NCERS approved 9 hour course called ÂCreating an Organizational Paradigm Appropriate to a Geriatric Care Facility which focuses on the dynamics that cause humans to rebel against traditional models of organization. Although this course targets nursing home administrators and nurse managers, any healthcare professional in a leadership role would benefit from this course.
ÂThe message of my course is to address in very real terms for managers the need to put aside the management model of crisis mode due to the very diverse and emerging needs of the personnel, residents and families in the work place. Our goal is to help the administrator to address the nursing home as a human community, says Dr. Van Everbroeck, President of BetterLife, Inc. and recently retired professor from La Salle University. ÂFor this shift to occur, examining the development of different paradigms will be crucial to their success.Â
ÂOur clients and students within long-term care are dealing with a changing resident and staff population every day. Multi-talented administrators are critical in the success of the delivery of new service models for elder-care communities. This course is a graduate level course designed to enhance skills and training of the managers in the field. We are very pleased to offer this 9 hour course to be taken at the administrator's leisure 24 hours daily, 7 days a week at http://www.Care2Learn.com, says one of Care2LearnÂs founders, Laura More.
