FedEx Executive Joins KonaWare Team
Jeff Amerine provides expertise for KonaWare’s transportation and logistics offerings
Redwood City, CA (PRWEB) July 22, 2004 -- KonaWare Inc., a leading provider of mobile application software for transportation and logistics, has named Jeff Amerine to its Advisory Board and will retain him as a full time Executive Consultant. Mr. Amerine will advise the company on information technology requirements for the transportation and logistics industry.
Most recently Mr. Amerine was Managing Director of Information Technology for FedEx Freight Systems were he set the company wide communications technology strategy and was responsible for $25 million in annual capital and expense operating budget. In addition, Mr. Amerine played a central role in wireless operations technology, call center deployment, and sales technology strategies that helped maintain the company’s competitive advantage. Prior to FedEx Freight Systems, Mr. Amerine held the position of Vice President Communications Systems at American Freightways, and Vice President, Strategic Consulting for Danet Inc., a Deutsche Telekom and SAIC company.
Mr. Amerine, has been a featured speaker on “Managing Wireless Proliferation” at various events such as “The Wireless Enterprise Forum” and “Internet World”. Mr. Amerine has been interviewed by a variety of publications such as “ComputerWorld”, “NetworkWorld”, “Newsweek – Japan”, and “CIO Insight”.
