(PRWEB) July 22, 2004 -- Southern Balloon Works Launches Remote Control Digital Aerial Photography System
Shooting photos from 25' to 500' in the air has always been difficult until now. The cost of taking photos from the air by plane or helicopter can be prohibitive for most customers. Southern Balloon Works of DeLand, FL has developed a 5.0 megapixel and 8.0 megapixel fully remote control digital camera system utilizing blimps, balloons and masts. The camera system combines a user friendly design at an affordable price. Pan and tilt, focus, zoom, trigger, on and off can all be done from the ground while viewing the monitor that is capturing the camera's view from above. The 5.0 megapixel system weighs 2 lbs. and the 8.0 megapixel system weighs 4 lbs. making them ideal for lifting with blimps and balloons for aerial photos up to 500'.
Owner Tom MacNaughton developed this system for his balloon customers worldwide. The system has numerous applications including shooting aerial photos of real estate, mapping archeology sites, studying coral reefs, or overseeing construction sites to name a few.
