Voice of Yahoo! Named Yodeler of the Year

Wylie Gustafson, the voice of the Yahoo! yodel is named Yodeler of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists.

(PRWEB) July 22, 2004 -- Wylie Gustafson, the world famous voice of the Yahoo! yodel, received the Will Rogers Award for "Yodeler of the Year" from the Academy of Western Artists on July 13, 2004 in a ceremony held at the Will Rogers Memorial Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas.

"Yahoo!" was his response as he accepted the award, "Yodeling has been very, very good to me!" Wylie was up against such notables as Ranger Doug of Riders in the Sky and Janet McBride the yodeling songstress of Texas.

"Yodeling is making a huge comeback," says the western swing performer from Dusty, WA. "When kids with pierced body parts and wild hair are in the audience of a cowboy band, you know that you're on to something big!" Wylie & the Wild West perform over 100 shows a year from the Grand Ole Opry to the Kennedy Center.
