DynaPel Announces 19" Rack Mountable Products and Improvements of Their Intelligent Video Solutions
(PRWEB) July 23, 2004 -- DynaPel Systems, Inc., (www.dynapel.com)a leading developer of intelligent video solutions for the security, surveillance and broadcast video market, announces 19" rack mountable products and improvements of their intelligent video solutions. Software SteadyEye, which stabilizes shaky surveillance video in real-time and CloseView. These improvements will enable unattended security video surveillance systems to automatically detect and zoom in for close-up video shots of moving objects (e.g. cars or people), yielding high-resolution recordings of details such as faces or car license plates.
DynaPels 19" rack SteadyEye and CloseView
The new 19" rack products can combine two SteadyEye or two CloseView video channels or a combination of both.
SteadyEye DynaPels image steadying software is designed to remove camera shake from video at various frequencies. Video often shows unsteady bouncing due to operator motion as well as camera shake in mounted cameras resulting from a variety of external factors such as wind (border cameras), air turbulence (UAVs), terrain or vibration. It can also result from spring bounce in vehicles (which would include almost any military vehicle).
To correct the quality of these unsatisfactory videos, DynaPel has created a video stabilization technology allowing the user to correct any type of camera interference. This stabilization is not limited to vertical and horizontal panning, but also includes zooming and rotating. DynaPels technology analyzes the motion between frames and applies the IsoCam technology, which differentiate between object motion and camera motion, in order to estimate and correct the camera motion.
In addition to the benefits described above, once camera shake is removed, better video compression or image detection algorithms can be applied. This image steadying function is invaluable to nearly all those analyzing video from mounted cameras as well as mobile video cameras.
CloseView DynaPels CloseView product is an intelligent real-time video analysis and detection system which allows PTZ cameras to detect on the occurrence of motion in the cameras viewing radius, then zoom in on the object that is moving (e.g. a person or car) and record a close-up still image of the moving subject. Thereby automating the surveillance system so that this functionality does not need to be manually performed by a security guard using a joy-stick", which is the current state of the art. This product delivers a huge cost/benefit for both military and high-end security commercial systems, including the reduction of false alarm rates to a very low level.
Highlights of the new software releases are
•Constant 100msec delay over the entire range of shake frequencies. This means the lowest delay on the market right now!
•Easy firmware upgrade through serial port
•Improved performance to distinguish between tracked objects
•2-channel 19" rack-mount solutions with remote configuration through TCP/IP connection
•Several new supported PTZ camera models from leading vendors
