San Diego Gallery Hosts A Night of Visual Graffiti
Unique Fashion Trunk and Art Show to Benefit Children's Hospital
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 24, 2004 -- On Saturday July 26th 2004, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. show your support for local fashion, art, and music at “Visual Graffiti.”
“Visual Graffiti” is the latest eclectic fashion trunk and art show collective, merging the concepts of fashion, art, and music. After a successful turnout at Landlord Jim’s in East Village, this traveling event will be held at the new Junks Gallery in the historical San Diego Gaslamp Quarter.
“I wanted to bring together a collection of designers and artists, to display their work at hip, non-pretentious venues. I handpicked this group of artists and designers who I feel are the best in San Diego,” says “Visual Graffiti” event organizer Ginger Placek.
The trunk fashion show will showcase the designs and products of Fresh Ginga, Obey Giant Clothing, Stalker Designs by Carmen, Hot Fudge Hand–painted Clothing and Handbags, Gem Design, Diej Couture, Lotus Love Beauty, Leslie Phillips Design, Sivitri Exquisite Handcrafted Jewelry, and Christine Alexander Designer Handbags.
View work by artists Mina Caragay, Leslie Phillips, Neil Simon Poyuzina, Mike Peters, Sara Silveus, Jason Sherry, Erick G. Gonzalez and a live aerosol art show by Frankie Samaro.
Enjoy music provided by DJ’s Digital Refugee, Beatfreak, and Fenn. This all–ages event includes a charity blanket drive for Children’s Hospital.
Admission to this event is $5. The public is encouraged to attend and donate a blanket. There will be a hosted beer and wine bar for those 21 and up.
Junks Gallery is located at 433 Third Avenue between Island and J Street, minutes away from the San Diego Convention Center.
