The hand vascular pattern person identification technology that Nedap used for integration with AEOS is provided by Techsphere. Techsphere systems have already been in use for years in Japan and Korea, where it is applied for the recognition of vascular patterns on the back of the hand. These patterns are unique per person and therefore highly suitable for verifying a persons identification. By applying this feature, an extra security layer is added to access control without requiring any effort or causing any inconvenience on the part of users. Nedap will be presenting this biometrics integration together with EBS on the Essen security trade show.
