Acqua Communications and The Patton Group Selected to Manage the Spirit of Life" Award Events Presented by City of Hope

Emilio & Gloria estefan will be honored this year with the accolade

Miami, FL (PRWEB) July 24, 2004 -- The Latin Entertainment Industry Group for City of Hope has retained Acqua Communications, once again, and The Patton Group as the two agencies responsible for managing their Spirit of Life" Award kick-off and gala fund-raising events scheduled to take place September 9th and November 18th, respectively. This years honorees will be Emilio and Gloria Estefan, in recognition of the couples contribution to the Hispanic community and their important support for City of Hope, the world-renowned biomedical research facility. Proceeds from the events will benefit City of Hopes research, treatment and education programs for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Working in collaboration for both events, Acqua Communications will be in charge of coordinating the South Florida press while The Patton Group will manage the events organization. This year, the kick-off event will be held at The Cardozo Hotel and the Spirit of Life Award gala at The Ritz Carlton on Miami Beach.

The Spirit of Life Award, City of Hopes most prestigious honor, is presented to individuals each year who have made a notable contribution to both their community and profession. The Latin Entertainment Industry fund-raising group for City of Hope selects honorees for its Spirit of Life Award who have fundamentally influenced the direction of the Latin entertainment industry.
