Miami, FL (PRWEB) July 24, 2004 -- Who: South Florida Recording Group Piccalo, Non-Profit, Non Partisan Organization Young Florida Vote with appearances by Uncle Luke, Trina, Jacki-O & label mate Do Wrong, Fred from Bad Boy recording group Da Band, Gorilla Tek, Cool & Dre, Dirtbag, JT Money, Ric Ross, Sqad Up, X-Con, Boss Lady from Humble Thugs, DJ Irie, DJ Suicide, DJ Greo, and a host of others.

What: Piccalo Young Florida Vote 4 Life Community Block Party
When: Saturday, July 31, 2004, 12noon -- 6PM
Where: 9th Street Pedestrian Mall located on NW 9th Street and NW 2nd Avenue, adjacent to the Historic Lyric Theatre in Overtown
Why: To encourage voter participation and to collect signatures for a petition calling for the restoration of rights for ex-felons.

About Piccalo
One of South Floridas well known grass root groups made popular by hits such as 'Big Money Ballers, 'Picture on a T-Shirt and most recently for collaborations with Pitbull on 'Dammit Man and 'Get Loose featuring Uncle Luke and Jacki-O. The group coined the term used by some of Floridas most popular personalities 'Towners 4 Life. The phrase is a way for the group to pay homage to the neighborhood theyre from -- Overtown, one of Miamis oldest neighborhoods & home of the Historic Lyric Theatre. For the remainder of the year, while Piccalo is traveling across the State of Florida to promote their upcoming album 'Crawl Before You Walk on independent Record Label Trunk Funk Records, the group has made it their business to encourage fans to participate in the voting process.

About Young Florida Vote
Young Florida Vote (YFV) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the voter participation of young voters between the ages of 18 and 26 in upcoming elections. The goal of the organization is to organize statewide events targeting this age group to increase its presence at the polls. A series of grassroots events catering directly to these age groups are in development.
