Formed in 2002, the San Francisco Based Golden Gate Wind Quintet already has an array of accomplisments including:

- Performed the world premiere of "In Praise of Music" written for GGWQ
- Sponsored a competition for newly composed music
for wind quintet
- Won 2nd place in a nationwide recording
competition
- Performed several successful concerts in and around San Francisco

GGWQ's upcoming calendar includes several concerts, a high-profile October Wedding, our 2nd Composition Contest and a recording project.
The requirements for auditioning are amazing musicianship, fun personality, commitment and fearlessness in performance. The audition process will include but not be limited to sitting in on a complete rehearsal session.
