Greatmail has redesigned its email hosting platform to enable customers to pick and choose additional features including increased storage, FTP access, setup support and domain name management. Greatmail's five email hosting plans range in price from $19.95 to $199.95 per month. Additional storage costs $18 per gigabyte, and FTP access costs $5 per user. Costs for additional storage and FTP access are added to the user's monthly recurring bill. Optional setup support costs a one time, non-refundable $80 and includes one domain name registration, DNS/MX record support, and configuration of the client's email accounts. In addition, Greatmail will manage additional domain name registrations for $35/year per registration. All email hosting plans include Clam Antivirus for virus protection, SpamAssassin for junk mail control, daily hard drive backups and support for hosting multiple domains.
Greatmail offers five standard email and web hosting plans that include up to 5 gigabytes of storage and 500 mailboxes per account. Web hosting features include support for mySQL, PHP, mod_perl, SSL and FTP. Email features include support for POP3 and IMAP4 protocols, SMTP authentication, mail forwarding, auto responders, aliases, mailing lists, virus protection and spam control. For ISPs and resellers, Greatmail develops custom solutions including private label dedicated servers and load balanced server clusters.
Greatmail's servers are located at a dedicated climate-controlled facility equipped with complete power protection via on-site UPS and diesel generators, pre-action fire suppression and direct connections to the major internet backbones. 24-hour network supervision by qualified technicians and automated system monitoring ensure quick problem resolution. Greatmail's servers run the latest versions of Linux OS and are backed up daily by a server independent, non-centralized mirrored disk backup system.
