NIAGARA FALLS, NY (PRWEB) July 24, 2004
Klewin Building Company, based in Norwich, Connecticut, broke ground recently on a new "fast-tracked" Casino. Located in Niagara Falls, New York, the facility is a 718,000 square foot, 26-story Spa Hotel which will house 600 rooms, three restaurants, a full service spa, a multipurpose theater and 35,000 square feet of gaming and is estimated for completion in just 18 months.
Sound unlikely? Not to Klewin or to the multitude of clients for which they have successfully completed over six million square feet of construction to date at a pace sometimes far exceeding Âfast-tracking;Â to be coined Âflash-tracking.Â
The company gives much of the credit to Âthe skills and dedication of our employees, subcontractors and consultants working on the job and it is clear these projects would not get completed on time without a significant team effort. To complete the Niagara Falls Spa Hotel, Klewin and its partners will have crews working 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. According to Keith Kabeary, Klewin Project Executive, ÂThe speed with which we have completed the other phases of this project and that we are already breaking ground on the Spa Hotel is really unheard of. Eighteen short months from now, this space will hold a beautiful 26-story, 718,000 square foot resort. It is literally going to be transformed before our eyes.Â
According to G. Michael ÂMickey Brown, CEO of the Seneca Niagara Gaming Corporation which operates the complex, ÂThroughout the construction of the entire complex Klewin has provided a professional partnership that has allowed us meet and surpass our goals. Whether it has been Âfast-track or traditional construction, they have consistently demonstrated they are the best construction firm out there. TheyÂre professional, theyÂre safe and they pay attention to detail. WeÂre proud to have them managing the next phase of construction, the Spa Hotel, and look forward to going from groundbreaking to ribbon cutting in record time.Â
In a joint statement released by Charles R. Klewin and Michael J. DÂAmato, they stated: ÂOnce again Klewin is at the forefront of providing exceptional quality and return on investment to our clients. When completed, in 18 months, this Spa Hotel will be a beacon for tourism from all over the Northeast and an architectural and engineering marvel. It will celebrate the past while providing state of the art amenities. We are proud to be helping the Seneca Nation achieve their goals.Â
Under a design build contract, Klewin constructed Phase I of the Seneca Niagara Casino, 333,000 square feet in just 100 days earning the praise of both the Seneca Tribe and, regional and state officials.
Charles R. Klewin, the company founder, currently serves as Chairman of the Board and remains active in the daily operations of the company. Michael J.
