East Toledo Lutheran Church To Begin New Contemporary Worship Service

First St. Johns Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Street in east Toledo, will offer a new weekly contemporary worship service beginning Sunday, September 19 at 9:00 a.m.

(PRWEB) July 24, 2004 -- This new service will be in addition to the regular traditional worship services at 7:45 and 10:15 a.m. The format for the new contemporary service will be more relaxed and informal, and will feature more upbeat and modern praise hymns written by artists such as Paul Beloche, Twyla Paris and Michael W. Smith.

A Praise Choir will also be featured to lead the congregants in the singing of these more modern worship songs. The sanctuary at First St. Johns Lutheran has added new multi-media equipment including a state-of-the-art sound system, projection system, live cameras, and a retractable video screen to show Bible passages, film clips, lyrics to praise songs, and announcements in order to make the worship more relevant and personal.
