IDB features exclusive Greek Designer Line to debut at San Francisco and Las Vegas shows

(PRWEB) July 25, 2004 -- A new line of designer apparel under the signature name Tassos Mitropoulos-Athens will be shown for the first time by IDB at the August 2004 Fashion Market of San Francisco and WWDMAGIC in Las Vegas shows.

In the lines first American debut, IDB will be showcasing the designers current trends. The collection reveals noticeably different fashions from those recognized in the United States. Having been described as racy, very sexy and off the runway," it is a fact that the attention the wearer receives will be more than expected.

Each and every one of Tassos pieces are made for that special woman out there who needs and wants to be seen" says Batsaras, who after a seven year residence in Athens, landed rights as the designers exclusive distributor in the United States.

The Tassos Mitropoulos mark carries weight in Europe and contributes to the wardrobes of various A-List personas throughout Greece.

The country is known for its rich history, ouzo, beautiful islands and now, who knows, this may be the beginning of an extended acknowledgement in fashion. There is nothing out there like it," quipped Batsaras, on taking the line to America. Batsaras, a young female entrepreneur, is also the co-owner of a retail outlet where the Mitropoulos line is sold.
Besides myself, I have never seen clients so enthusiastic with each shipment. I now feel reassured with my decision. Bringing the line over took a lot of time and research especially since its sexy and bold flair was a risk in terms of the Californian lifestyle. But deep down I knew."

IDB will be exhibiting the only Athens-Direct designs in the United States at:
BOOTH #309C in this years Fashion Market of San Francisco at the Concourse Convention Center from August 21- August 24, 2004 and
BOOTH #15031 in this years Las Vegas WWDMAGIC mega show at the Las Vegas Convention Center from August 30- September 2, 2004.
It seems like 2004 will be a big year for Athens this summer.
