First Fully Oracle Compatible JDO Implementation Released
Riflexo released JCredo JDOs latest plug-in for Oracle® JDeveloper, making JCredo the first JDO implementation being fully compatible with Oracle production environment, including Oracle Database, Oracle AS 10g, and the recently launched JDeveloper 10g.
(PRWEB) July 29, 2004 -- Riflexo released JCredo JDO's latest plug-in for Oracle® JDeveloper, making JCredo the first JDO implementation being fully compatible with Oracle production environment, including Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server 10g, and the recently launched Oracle JDeveloper 10g. Riflexo also announces the release of JCredo 2.0 in September 2004, based on JDO 2.0 specification, allowing all extensions users to benefit from the standard specification advantages.
"By teaming with Oracle - a leader in Java standardization and implementation who offers a first-class and comprehensive J2EE development environment - Riflexo gives Oracle's users access to JDO 2.0 functionalities and benefits, offering complete integration with Oracle's product suite to easily use JDO for the development and deployment of persistent component-based business applications," said Rodolfo Festa Bianchet, CEO of Riflexo.
JCredo's new plug-in for Oracle JDeveloper 10g speeds up any JCredo JDO-based project development, giving users the possibility to manage their JDO project without having to leave Oracle's IDE. Developers can modify all JCredo's specific runtime properties - such as database connections, performance options and other important runtime settings - from Oracle JDeveloper's screen. The new plug-in fully automates the following JDO tasks:
| | - making a class (or a package) persistent or transient;
- enhancing persistence capable classes;
- editing JDO XML metadata in a convenient editor, integrating both JDO-standard and JCredo-specific extensions;
- synchronizing projects Java object model with the underlying database (create and/or drop database objects);
- designing a JDOQL Query and previewing the results returned from the underlying datastore.

"The new Riflexo JDO plug-in offers developers an easy way to use JDO technology as a persistence mechanism in their applications."
"The Oracle JDeveloper product team offered excellent support for the development of the extension and the very good team work between both companies made the extension development easy and fast," explains Stanimir Simeonoff, CTO of Riflexo.
