Mexican American Business Chamber to Sponsor Construction Seminar in Partnership with the Latin American Associations Construction Micro-Enterprise Program (COMED)

MABC will offer a construction seminar on Saturday August 7th.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 29, 2004 -- The Mexican American Business Chamber (MABC) will offer a Construction Seminar in conjunction with the Construction Micro-enterprise Development Program (COMED) and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA). The seminar is designed for those individuals that are either contractors or construction entrepreneurs and is scheduled for Saturday, August 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the offices of the MABC located in Chamblee, GA.

The seminar will focus on accounting, legal issues, insurance, and OSHA regulations and will feature business attorney David Martinez, Rodolfo Vaupel from Lloyd Insurance group, Marylin Velez from OSHA, and COMED Program Coordinator Josh Hopkins.

About the Construction Micro-enterprise Development Program (COMED)
The mission of the Latin American Associations COMED program is to foster the economic development of small/disadvantaged Latino owned businesses in the construction market by providing training, technical assistance, and access to capital. These services are designed to allow clients to accelerate the process of becoming prime contractors who participate in private and government projects. COMED is dedicated to providing Latino construction entrepreneurs with the support they need to nurture healthy, viable, and profitable companies.

COMEDs second session will begin in September 2004. COMED partners include United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia Micro-Enterprise Network, Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance, Hartsfield Development Program and the Mexican-American Business Chamber.
