Klatu Ports Incoterm Landed Cost [DDP] Calculation Routines to a Stand-alone Component. Klatu's new Stand-alone Landed Cost Calculation Component enables merchants to utilize Klatu's proven e-Com technology to calculate pricing in realtime for multiple Incoterms, including DDP (true landed cost) on their servers.

Klatu, Inc. is preparing a stand-alone Incoterm Landed Cost Calculator based upon the routines which are native to Klatu's successful and proven e-Com e-commerce platform, which will be available for licensing to interested parties. Companies such as: manufacturers, distributors, comparison websites, online merchants and others that require accurate real-time landed cost calculations will benefit. Other examples of use are call-centers and shipping departments.

The component provides the user with available shipping options and charges, duties and taxes for a source-destination country pair. Based upon the selected shipping options, the component calculates freight and insurance, as well as applicable duties and tax charges in the proper sequence to price the sale under CIF, DDU, DDP (Landed Cost)and other Incoterms as required and returns the calculation results in a readily usable format.

Provisions are being made to host the Landed Cost Calculator as a service on Klatu's servers as well as to provide the component for use in client Web and Application Server implementations.
