Welsh Re-Elected FMPA Treasurer
Kissimmee Utility Authority president and general manager Jim Welsh has been re-elected treasurer of the wholesale power company.
KISSIMMEE, FL (PRWEB) July 31, 2004 -- The Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) today announced that Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) president and general manager Jim Welsh has been re-elected treasurer of the agency. The election took place at FMPA's annual meeting in Amelia Island, FL.
Welsh has been a member of FMPAs Board of Directors since 1982, including terms as vice chairman, treasurer, secretary-treasurer and assistant secretary-treasurer. Welsh has headed Kissimmees electric system since 1982.
FMPA is a wholesale power company owned by 29 municipal electric utilities in Florida. FMPA provides economies of scale in power generation and related services to support community-owned electric utilities. The members of FMPA serve approximately 1.8 million Floridians.
