Flowserve Flow Solutions Division To Distribute Inpro/Seal Bearing Isolators.

Inpro/Seal Company, the Rock Island based manufacturer of bearing isolators and Flowserve, a leading provider of fluid motion and control products and services, have formed an agreement to market Inpro/Seal® bearing isolators.

ROCK ISLAND, IL (PRWEB) July 31, 2004 -- Inpro/Seal Company, the Rock Island based manufacturer of bearing isolators and Flowserve, a leading provider of fluid motion and control products and services, have formed an agreement to market Inpro/Seal® bearing isolators.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Flowserve Flow Solutions Division will become a select distributor of Inpro/Seal bearing isolators. This alliance provides both Inpro/Seal and Flowserve customers many opportunities to use their collective strengths and resources with innovative products and superior service. End users will benefit greatly with cost-effective, reliable solutions that improve reliability and reduce total cost.

Based in Dallas, Flowserve Corporation (NYSE:FLS), is one of the world's leading providers of fluid motion and control products and services. Operating in 56 countries, the company produces engineered and industrial pumps, seals and valves as well as a range of related flow management services.

In a statement issued by Andy Beall, President of the Flowserve Flow Solutions division, This alliance greatly enhances our drive to provide a more complete service to our customers. The addition of Inpro/Seal products to our outstanding line of mechanical seals supports our mission to improve the reliability of rotating equipment in the field, and a more complete offering of rotating equipment accessories to our end user customers."

According to David C. Orlowski, CEO of Inpro/Seal, the holder of some 40 patents and considered by many as the father" of bearing isolation technology, The agreement with Flowserve, along with its leadership position in customer alliances in the chemical and refining industries, complements our own sales and marketing strategies."

Orlowski continued, Personally, this represents an exciting opportunity in that I finally can see full realization in the marketplace for the bearing isolator, a product I invented some 30 years ago. Now, our end users (Inpro/Seal and Flowserve) have even greater opportunity to increase the mean-time-between-repair of bearings and decrease the total life-cycle cost of operational equipment."

A bearing isolator is a non-contact, non-wearing, permanent bearing protection device. It has a rotor and a stator, and the two are unitized, so that they dont separate from one another while in use. Typically, the rotor turns with a rotating shaft, while the stator is pressed into a bearing housing. The two components interact to keep contamination out of the bearing enclosure and the lubricant in.

Protected bearings have proven to run 50,000 hours (5.7 years) or more, eliminating the need for continual maintenance and repair. Documented cases show that a plant can more than double the mean-time-between failure (MTBF) and reduce maintenance costs by at least half, with users reporting an extremely high Return On Investment (ROI). Over one million of Inpros original bearing isolator designs are in operation in process plants worldwide, where end users continue to report significantly reduced operating costs with increased productivity and reliability.

As the recognized global leader in bearing isolator technology, Inpro products are marketed to the petroleum, refining, nuclear, power generation, metalworking, food processing, grain processing, chemical, water, wastewater treatment, metalworking, automotive, hydrocarbon processing, HVAC, pulp and paper, mining, mineral, ore processing and general industrial markets.
