On August 6th, 7th, and 8th 2004 the progressive citizens advocates a community organization of Clarksville tn. will host its annual EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION CELEBRATION 2004. For 3 days, the entire community is asked to come together in remembrance and observation of African American Freedom and Unity.

Friday, August 6th UNITY RALLY 6 - 9 p.m. McGregor Park on Riverside Drive
Cultural Music, Singing, Dancing, Drama and Refreshments.
Saturday, August 7th AFRICAN STREET FESTIVAL 11 a.m. -- 10 p.m. 7th & Main & Franklin Streets.
Multicultural Booths, Vendors, Displays and the Best In Entertainment! A Festival Of Food, Fun and Fellowship!
Sunday, August 8th EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION CELEBRATION 6 -- 9p.m.
McGregor Park on Riverside Drive. This Grand Celebration will include Orations, Drama, Song, Dance, and the reading of the Emancipation Proclamation" the Document that put an end to Legalized Slavery.
The community, churches, civic organizations, and businesses are urged to get involved.
