SEI adds 7 additional models to its Juice Box product line of 802.3af Power-Over-Ethernet Mid Span Power Hubs.

System Engineering International, (SEI), announces the release of seven additional models to its Juice Box product line of IEEE-802.3af Power-over-Ethernet Mid Span Power Hubs. The full product line now includes 12 and 24 port units with either AC or DC input and with or without a WEB/SNMP interface. All Juice Box models are fully compliant with IEEE-802.3af, and require only 1U of rack space. Warranty on the Juice Box is a full two years with free customer support for that period.

“With emerging technologies such as VoIP and Wireless Networks, the value of Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) continues to grow,” said Martin Grolnic, president of SEI. “PoE eliminates the need to run a separate power cable to each device which reduces cost and eliminates wiring clutter. By inserting the SEI Juice Box into the Ethernet infrastructure, customers are able to provide both the data signal and power through the same cable.”

The Juice Box not only reduces power cabling cost and clutter, but also reduces backup power cost and maintenance. With the addition of a single UPS, instead of one for each device, the Juice Box provides centralized backup power to all connected devices.
