SANRAD Completes Testing Under The IBM TotalStorage Proven Program

SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) August 1, 2004 -- SANRAD Inc today 29th July 2004 announced that its V-Switch products have successfully completed interoperability testing with IBMs TotalStorage FAStT, IBM 2104 Ultra 320 SCSI and Enterprise Storage Server products and has been confirmed as IBM TotalStorage Proven.

The IBM TotalStorage Proven program builds on IBMs already extensive interoperability efforts to develop and deliver products and solutions that work together with third party products. SANRADs iSCSI V-Switches enable simplified IP- storage area network (SAN) deployments for customers while allowing departments to large enterprises to maximize their return on investment (ROI) by utilizing existing or new IBM storage systems as shared resources on an iSCSI SAN. All SANRAD products, V-Switch 3000 and V-Switch 2000, have successfully completed IBM Total StorageProven testing.

The iSCSI V-Switch storage consolidation and management functions protect a customers investment by gathering all storage systems into a single and easy to allocate storage pool. Administrators can define new logical volumes from these pooled resources independent of physical barriers such as enclosures, physical disks, protocols and distance and make new logical volumes available to servers. Moreover, SANRAD iSCSI storage is block-based" and compatible with all common applications currently supported by the iSCSI driver on new and existing server platforms.
