CWI Authorized to Display Forest Stewardship Council Trademarks
Creative Woodwork International (CWI) Supports Environmentally Sensitive Management of the Worlds Forests
MINNEAPOLIS - August 2, 2004 - Creative Woodwork International (CWI), a privately held U.S. company that imports eco-friendly, enduring outdoor wood furniture from Vietnam, has been authorized by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to use FSC trademarks, including the name of the organization, the initials FSC, and the FSC logo. FSC trademarks identify products which contain wood from well managed forests certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council. CWI is authorized, with permission, to display FSC trademarks in off-product marketing materials, press releases, its Web site and advertising.
FSC (www.fsc.org) is an international, non-profit association whose membership comprises environmental and social groups and progressive forestry and wood retail companies working in partnership to improve forest management worldwide. FSC is headquartered in Bonn, Germany, with national offices in more than 40 countries, including the U.S. in Washington, D.C. (www.fcsus.org).
