Care2Learn Online Courses Gains NCCAP Approval for Activities Professionals in 2004

Care2Learn's Accreditation team has received approval from the National Certification Council for Activities Professionals (NCCAP) to accredit its Activities Professional library, presently at 84 hours of coursework and growing.

Bradenton, FL (PRWEB) August 2, 2004 -- Care2Learn's Accreditation team has received approval from the National Certification Council for Activities Professionals (NCCAP) to accredit its Activities Professional library, presently at 84 hours of coursework and growing.

Course content includes mandatory courses such as Infection Control, Domestic Violence and HIV Aids accredited courses along with clinical subject matter such as the unique 6 hour course titled DYING 101: An Inside Look Into the Terminally Ill and Living, for Healthcare Professionals. Many of the courses have been available to Care2Learn students but new recent approval allows activities professionals to receive recognized accreditation to maintain their credentials in their individual states. The business case behind the approval of these courses was Care2Learns growth throughout its corporate business within post-acute care around the country. Care2Learn currently has approximately 39,000 students in their client base.

"The courses allow busy practicing professionals to receive quality courses via the web 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly," says Edie Deane, Chief Accreditation Officer and partner at Care2Learn. "During times of creative time management, Activities Professionals now have the option of utilizing Care2Learns library at an average cost of $15 a contact hour for most courses.

"Further, we are actively submitting new courses for accreditation approval as our authors create them for online publication," says Deane. Although these courses target professionals within the long-term care environments, any professional within any healthcare environment would benefit from offering the courses and concepts due to the focus on excellence in growing clinical expertise while earning continuing education credits, simultaneously.

Care2Learn has received NCCAP approval for the courses at www.Care2Learn.com however, Care2Learn always refers the licensed professional back to their state licensing board with any questions concerning continuing education regulations.
