SimDisc 3 released -- Real virtual drive prower
Engelmann Media has released a new version of SimDisc 3, a simple to use and powerful application to manage up to 63 virtual drives using Windows NT/2000 or XP. The maximum number of available drives depends on the amount of available drive letters, in Windows 9x/ME its limited up to 23 drives.
(PRWEB) August 2, 2004 -- The powerful and professional software has full network support: All virtual drives can be accessed from anywhere on your LAN, just like real ones. Create your virtual CD-ROM server without a pile of noisy optical drives! SimDisc supports virtually any disc format, including video and audio CDs.
Its ideal for travelling salesman and mobile people: Its now possible to extend notebook battery lifetime by using your hard disk instead of the power-consuming optical drive.
SimDisc also supports creating safety backups of expensive original discs - keep them in a safe place and work with the virtual disc. No more annoying frequent disc changes - do it with a mouse-click! Virtual drives are faster than any existing optical drive - no more "please wait, loading..." and stuttering video sequences due to bad optical drives.
SimDisc runs under Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and costs 39.90 EUR. You can download a fully featured 14-day evaluation version from their website: www.simdisc.net
