Miss Teen United States 2005
Sarah Burnside of Snellville, Georgia was crowned the new Miss Teen United States 2005, this past weekend in Orlando, Florida at the beautiful Caribe Royale Resort & Convention Center during competitions held July 14-17, 2004.
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) August 3, 2004 -- Sarah is an 18-year-old senior at South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia. Sarah will continue her education at Oxford College of Emory University in the fall of 2004, where she will pursue a Degree in Nutrition. Her intentions will be to focus on creating specialized diets for heart patients and Diabetics.
Sarah is a very active young lady. Sarah spent much of her time with school related activities, where she was a member of the Varsity swim team, Spanish Club and an Officer in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Sarah gives back to the community of Snellville by volunteering. Her most recent project was Queens for a Cure," where she and other Georgia titleholders raised money for the American Cancer Societys Relay for Life." Sarah believes a critical step to a healthy lifestyle is to teach young children and Teens how to take care of themselves through healthy eating & exercise.
When shes not busy doing other activities, you can find Sarah singing in her school & church choirs, hiking, traveling, dancing, acting, shopping, reading or spending time with her friends and family.
Sarahs parents were at the National competition by her side to show their support.
A nationally recognized program for young ladies ages 15-19, the United States Pageants systems select contestants who are well-rounded, confident, intelligent, beautiful, and committed to family & community. The new Miss Teen United States is someone who was selected based on her inner self-confidence, sincere and genuine, and one that will be able to make a difference in the world around us.
Contestants in the Miss Teen United States Pageant competed in the following categories: Panel Interview, Swimsuit, Evening Gown and on stage personality interview.
Miss Burnside can assist in many ways. You may wish to have her as a spokesperson, hostess or emcee at your special event.
