Tidal Media Group Acquires Harbour Light's Web Hosting Operation

200+ Hosting Customer Accounts Transferred in Deal

Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) August 5, 2004 -- Tidal Media Group and Harbour Light Strategic Marketing today announced their agreement to transfer approximately 200 web hosting accounts to Tidal Media. The move was announced to the affected customers late last month and took place over the past several weeks. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition also makes perfect sense for Tidal Media as an Internet services firm. With this increased recurring revenue, we can continue to self-finance our growth. And as a one-stop web shop, it allows us to cross-sell and up-sell hosting customers with the development, design, e-commerce, and the other services they'll need going forward."

The transfer includes well-known web domains from throughout the region, including those of the Balsams Resort, Wentworth by the Sea Country Club, Sheraton Harborside Hotel, Destefano Architects, Portsmouth Historical Society, and Strawbery Banke Museum, among others. Tidal Media co-founder Kim Egonis noted that the company will continue to offer discounted hosting for non-profits, as Harbour Light has done for many years. "We feel strongly that it's important to support our community and, through this deal, we're looking forward to becoming even more involved in the local community," she remarked.

Tidal Media, which already maintained dozens of hosting accounts for its pre-existing clients, is also upgrading the equipment and infrastructure at its data center to maintain a high level of quality service and reliability. Hosting packages start at $29 per month and dedicated servers are available upon request.
