Rapid AntiSpam Protection with Bitspan's Patent Pending Email Filtering Technology

Bitspan Network, a Canadian antispam technology developer, announced today that it has successfully completed the development of its first antispam component.

West Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) August 9, 2004 -- Bitspan Network Inc., a leading Canadian antispam technology developer, announced today that it has successfully completed the development of its first antispam component. The component is designed for rapid integration into virtually any mail filtering system and at any level - The component can be positioned upstream or downstream of any existing mail filtering solution. Additionally, the antispam functionalities of the component are accessible from remote systems. The component utilizes Bitspans patent pending FEST (Forensic Email Sequencing Technology), which can be used for spam email identification and filtration of inbound emails with amazing accuracy.

"FEST creates super-sensitive fingerprints that are super accurate and as solid as DNA-evidence in a court of law and now, for the first time, this time-honored approach is available for integration and usage in various email filtering applications." said Mr. Jelveh, CTO and Founder of Bitspan Network Inc.

Bitspan is trying to address problems commonly associated with email filtering solutions; the inability to completely filter out spam (false negatives) and erroneous detection of legitimate email as spam (false positive). The companys patent pending approach promises zero false positive and is aimed to significantly reduce false negatives.

Every mail filtering system has some kind of weakness and spammers and hackers have sufficient incentives to find and exploit them. It is our firm belief that this component can complement and strengthen any mail filtering solution." said Jelveh.

Basically anyone that deals with email, in any setting and format, can utilize this component" said Mr. Jelveh. The functionality of the component can be invoked locally and/or remotely, making it ideal for use in Firewalls, Message Transfer Agents (MTA), Mail Servers (SMTP), Anti-Spam solutions, Anti-virus solutions, collaboration and email client applications. Mr. Jelveh added: ... many companies stand to benefit from this technology for the purposes of attaining better and more accurate mail filtering results for themselves and their end-users.

Bitspan is currently accepting application from organizations that wish to participate in its beta program. Those interested in participating in this program should contact Bitspan Networks Beta Partners Program at beta@bitspan.com.
