From Home Based Business to Big Business: Puget Custom Computers

Â?Customer ServiceÂ? says Jon Bach, President of Puget Custom Computers. Â?We treat customers the way we expect to be treated. ItÂ?s that simple! Word of mouth and having a good internet presence takes care of the rest.Â?

Puget Custom Computers had plans of moving its assembly line from inside the owner’s home to a warehouse this month, and it’s a good thing. Over half a million in orders have rolled in over the last two months and the orders, “they just keep on coming.”

Puget Custom Computers was founded by Bach, and opened its virtual doors on the internet in December of 2000. They started small and grew on a very limited budget.

After less than a year in business, the business had outgrown its facilities, and was moved to a location in Redmond, where they could be very close to local suppliers, and to a UPS distribution center. This allowed them to be very responsive in their shipping and supply acquisitions.

After another year, they had once again outgrown their facilities, and moved to an even larger location in SeaTac. This allowed them to devote a much larger space to the business and be much closer to SeaTac airport, giving them a couple more hours each day to extend their shipping cutoff time.

“Now”, says Bach, “instead of being home based and taking up literally my entire home we are moving into a new warehouse where we have room to grow and hopefully stay at for longer than a year. And, when everything is in place we could even start to see a faster turn around time than our already unheard of 3 to 5 business days!”

Puget Custom Computers doesn’t have its sights set on being the next Dell, although they are starting off just as strong. They prefer to limit their staff to twenty or thirty people, and just have fun building computers and supplying the custom built computer community with the best available options and service nationwide.

Looking at their growth and the praises they continually receive from customers at their website and at other third party sites, one can see that Puget Custom Computers means business, big business!
