Help Is Now Available Online For People With Serious Marriage Problems

New web site provides resources for those involved in dysfunctional marriages.

(PRWEB) August 7, 2004 -- A couple in Saco, Maine has recently launched a new web site to help couples faced with serious marriage problems. What makes the web site unique is that the sponsoring couple (who wish to remain anonymous due to the intensely personal nature of the problem) have gone through the battle themselves of having a seriously dysfunctional marriage -- and won! Now approaching their 30th wedding anniversary -- and committed to "going the distance" with each other -- they want to help others by passing along the knowledge and techniques they learned and continue to use to eliminate or minimize a wide range of sources of marital conflict. While they are not doctors, marriage counselors, or marriage therapists, they do provide a great deal of knowledge and expertise from their own personal experiences.

The wife, herself, suffered several years of abuse at the hands of her alcoholic stepfather. She now works for a family services organization in a Crisis Unit for children and teenagers as a Staff Counselor. With her years of training -- as well as personal life experiences -- she is in a unique position to understand and help the young residents find solutions to their own difficult situations, while working with other staff members to restore the child's families.

The husband part of the team, who has never been abused, provides valuable insights into what it's like being married to an adult survivor of childhood abuse. Much of the information provided through their web site provides essential information, tools, and encouragement to the spouses of those who may be sexually dysfunctional for any number of reasons.

Their web site -- www.survivorsolutions.com -- offers a free informational newsletter describing a wide range of methods for restoring seriously damaged marriage relationships. For those needing more information than what's contained in their free newsletter, additional resources are available through their web site. Help is available for a range of problems including -- but not limited to -- poor communication between husband and wife, sexual dysfunction (causes and cures), affects of childhood sexual abuse on a marriage and what their spouses can do about it, motivating a reluctant spouse to get the help they need, identifying and eliminating subconscious triggers that cause negative feelings, and lots more.

This web site is an ongoing project and will be continually expanded and updated. For those who are currently in the middle of a dysfunctional marriage situation and aren't sure what to do about it, visiting this web site could be a refreshing first step.
