Opportunity to Support Music Education
RESTON, VA (PRWEB) August 8, 2004 -- MENC: The National Association for Music Education announces its inclusion in the 2004 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The CFC is an annual fund-raising drive conducted by federal employees and military personnel to raise millions of dollars to benefit thousands of non-profit charities. Last year, federal employees generously donated nearly $15,000 to help support MENCs mission to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all.
MENC will be listed in the 2004 donor brochure as number 1167 under National/International Unaffiliated Agencies." This years solicitation period (the time period during which employees can sign up to donate) is September 1 to December 15. Donations to MENC through the CFC will support MENCs mission to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all. Through charitable gifts, federal employees have helped to make a difference in the lives of children and teachers.
In addition, MENC continues to administer national educational programs such as the Tri-M Music Honor Society, the Hersheys All-USA High School Band, the Worlds Largest Concert, and the National Anthem Project.
