DIGITAL PHOTOS A SWITCH FROM MODERN RENAISSANCE A dramatic artist reveals the development of photo expressionism.

Georgia artist, Pola Muzyka has been featured in American Artist Magazine and Georgia Artist Magazine and has won several awards, but never before for digital photography. Her experience in photography, however, is extensive, dating back to the 1980s. Her dramatic passion to combine multi levels of the arts in photography is unveiled in this close-up of an American Artist.

Roswell, GA (PRWEB) August 13, 2004 -- In 1980 Pola completed over 50,000 photographs for art direction research for the famous art director, Danilo Donati. Donati won five academy awards for art direction, costume and set design work. He inspired the young actress to incorporate her art with her talent for drama. As a result, Pola began to study painting, first at Sara Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY and a few years later at Pierce College in Wennetka, CA, but she had not succeeded in fulfilling the challenge to incorporate her talents.

Eventually Pola accepted work behind the scenes as producer, writer and director for commercials, TV shows and documentaries but creative passion took a back seat to most of this work. While photographing scenery as a location scout for an Irish Spring commercial, she stumbled upon the perfect solution for her frustration. To express her passion for art, drama and photography in her work, she would use a digital format.

Recently she has succeeded in fulfilling a promise to Danilo Donati, by incorporating her fondness for digital photography, drama and art in her exciting collection, Photo Theater.

Most of Pola's collection is shot with a digital Nikon using local available light. She then takes her photographs into Photoshop and manipulates the levels, color balance, hue, saturation and filters to create the illusion of a photo painting.

"I don't know in advance how a shot will turn out," Pola explains. "I just know when something hits me dramatically, emotionally. Then I close my eyes and see the shot as if it were a painting. The great advantage of using Photoshop in the creation process, is that I can always 'UNDO' if it's not what I saw in my mind's eye."

You can see the results of Pola's new digital photographs at http://www.yessy.com/artByPola/photos.html or several art galleries throughout Roswell, Georgia and you can even purchase signed photos of her work for as little as $5.00 at her website. Pola's Photo Theater is a new and interesting form of expression that will captivated your imagination and curiosity to peek behind the mask of this multi-talented artist.

What's up in the years ahead? According to Pola, "You never know where God will lead me. I'm presently writing the story of my life and hope to have it published soon. One thing is for sure, my life has never been dull."
