Macquarie Corporate Telecommunications, a leader in corporate and government telecommunications services, has selected MessageNet as its SMS gateway partner.

An IDC survey conducted in the first quarter of 2004 showed a strong adoption intention by Australian businesses to turn SMS into email notification and internal communication, or employee broadcast, tools.

According to Rohan Lean, Director of MessageNet, the partnership between the two companies provides corporate and government customers with a robust, business grade mobile solution.

“The partnering with Macquarie Corporate is a natural fit for us. We are dealing with blue ribbon customers that expect the best and both Macquarie and MessageNet pride themselves on service excellence and the delivery of first class solutions,” said Lean.

“Macquarie’s substantial customer base now has access to a world class mobile solutions platform. The take-up of SMS as a valuable communications mechanism by these organizations will undoubtedly bring cost savings and efficiency gains in all areas of business.”

“SMS is an increasingly important component in the business communications mix,” said Denis Rowe, National Marketing Manager, Macquarie Corporate Telecommunications. “We are pleased to be able to offer our customers the MessageNet solution.”

MessageNet is the founding SMS gateway in Australia and has supplied corporate and government mobile solutions since 1992.
