Salems Premier Tour Company Introduces Witchcraft Hysteria Trolley Tour
Salem Historical Tours announces the commencement of a one-of-a-kind tour to the old Rebecca Nuse Homestead in Old Salem Village.
Salem, MA (PRWEB) August 14, 2004 -- Continuing a long tradition of historically accurate and compelling tours, Salem Historical Tours -- in conjunction with The Salem Trolley, Inc. and The Danvers Alarm List Company -- announces The 1692 Rebecca Nurse Homestead Trolley Tour, the first tour to venture to the former Salem Village, where the tragic Witchcraft hysteria erupted.
This innovative tour provides visitors with a comprehensive overview of the period and allows patrons to visit the legendary homestead with direct ties to the dire events of 1692. The Rebecca Nurse story is one of the most tragic tales to emerge from the Salem Witch Trials period," Leah Schmidt, owner of Salem Historical Tours and The Salem Trolley, Inc., said. The time has come to formally acknowledge Rebeccas hapless role in the harrowing events which ultimately redefined Colonial New England life." The Danvers Alarm List Company, which has owned and impeccably maintained the homestead for years, shares Schmidts enthusiasm for the project. The Alarm List Company is really excited to be working with Salem Historical Tours and The Salem Trolley to showcase this historic site," Company member David Butler said.
In addition to the renowned residence itself, visitors will have opportunity to explore the onsite replica 1672 meeting house, view an engaging multimedia presentation chronicling the disturbing events of 1692, and examine Colonial-era exhibits.
