Ilima Terrace Expands Menu to Allow for Continuous Dining Service on Sundays

Adding items and extending buffet hours creates better dining options on Sundays.

POIPU, KAUAI, HI (PRWEB) August 14, 2004 -- In an effort to cater to current dining trends, the Ilima Terrace Restaurant located at the Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort and Spa will be adding items to the traditional daily breakfast buffet on Sundays and will extend the hours of the expanded buffet through 2:00PM.

According to Food and Beverage Director, Sheryl Ishizaki, there was a high demand for mid-morning dining that was not possible when the restaurant needed to close for an hour to set up for Brunch. There was also a demand from early Sunday morning breakfast diners to have more variety on the menu.

By enhancing the quality of the breakfast buffet, we will now be able to cater to our visitors and guests throughout the morning and still offer many of the Brunch favorites for our traditional Sunday dining clientele," says Ishizaki. The price is also right at $28 per person, and keeping in line with current lifestyle trends, champagne will be offered as an a la carte option."

Peoples dining habits are changing with their lifestyles. This was a great opportunity for us to respond to changing customer needs through continuous innovation that will provide good value," adds Ishizaki.
Executive Chef Manfred J. Steuerwald has prepared a new Sunday Buffet menu that will offer something for every taste.

Customer preferences have really changed this past year," says Chef Manfred, from wanting lighter fare options to 'low carb alternatives. You pretty much have to have something for everyones taste."

The expanded menu items include popular food selections such as fresh catch of the day--island style, fresh tropical fruits, imported and domestic cheeses, smoked salmon, California roll sushi, the Hyatts special corned beef hash and more. Food stations with broad appeal including a pastry station, made-to-order omelet station (with egg white only options), and a waffle station will also be a part of the buffet.
The Sunday Breakfast Buffet hours are 6:00AM to 2:00PM, starting August 22, 2004. The price per person will be $28 plus tax and gratuity and 50% off for children under twelve years old. For more information or for reservations, call 240-6456.

Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa, overlooking Poipu's majestic Keoneloa Bay, offers 602 spacious guest rooms each with its own lanai. The resort includes: six restaurants and six lounges, a water playground with waterfalls and a 150-foot water slide, a five-acre saltwater lagoon, tennis, ANARA Spa, and golf at the adjacent Poipu Bay Resort.
