Handisplay (M) Sdn. Bhd. is looking for Beta testers for its ground-breaking mobile email HandiMail.
"Malaysian users can even access their email at the same rates when they travel overseas with no roaming surcharge anywhere in the world."
(PRWEB) August 15, 2004 -- With HandiMail, users can get full text email capability by using their existing GSM-based cell phone. Unlike competing systems, HandiMail allows users to access all POP3 compliant as well as free Yahoo and Hotmail email systems and does not require any special equipment.
Users simply visit www.handimail.com.my and sign up with their account information and start receiving and sending email from their existing cell phones immediately.
With HandiMail, users have the option of being notified whenever new email is received, fetching email at their convenience, replying to and forwarding existing downloaded messages.
Pricing
Handisplay plans to price HandiMail very competitively, allowing users to read long email at a cost similar to SMS charges. Malaysian users can even access their email at the same rates when they travel overseas with no roaming surcharge anywhere in the world. Combined with no data charges or special equipment requirements, this makes HandiMail a truly universal mobile email system.
About Handisplay
HandiMail is developed by Handisplay, an MSC status company located in the heart of Cyberjaya. The R&D effort is partly supported by a RM2.7M grant from MGS to research and develop state-of-the-art technology in Malaysia.
The MGS grant allowed us to do basic research and develop the right product without the immediacy of commercial pressure from traditional venture funding", said Shylendra Nathan, Handisplays CTO. The MSC and MGS staff have been extremely helpful in assisting us to develop world class technology in Malaysia. We expect Malaysia to be the first country in the world to have such robust, cost effective, mobile email capability."
